The ARGO TUNNEL closed soon after and, although there have been attempts to reopen the entire length, they have not been successful. Today, the ARGO MILL & TUNNEL is open as a tourist attraction where visitors can get a glimpse of Idaho Springs mining history.
The Argo Mill, Mine and Museum tour is educational and fun for all ages! During its heyday, the mine procesed more than one hundred million dollars of gold ore.
